As a designer I want to not only inspire beauty through fashion but also contribute to the process by helping those who produce these pieces with their own hands and talent. Erika Peña Designs is produced in Bali and works with Yayasan Membina Api Cinta Kasih (YAMACK) a non-profit organization.  

YAMACK was founded in 1998 by a diverse collection of individuals, all of whom are actively concerned with finding solutions to environmental, social and educational problems and challenges. Operating under the theory that we can make a difference the organization’s primary focus is the implementation of education and social welfare projects aimed at reawakening strong, harmonious, and compassionate and environmentally sound cultural principles and practices. Currently, there are numbers of community projects underway in different locations in Bali. These projects include Pupuan Kindergarten redevelopment and library, Sunrise School in Kerobokan among others.

Their latest project is the develeopment of the disabled children’s unit/school. The School provides a safe, happy, supportive classroom environment which is free of charge for children with physical disabilities living within a 25km radius of the center. Erika Peña has designed the “Cinta Kasih” necklace & bracelet to contribute to this cause and with the proceeds we plan to finance the development of this school.
